HVAC Smart Glasses

AR wearables computer-vision

A wearable AR system that turns an HVAC technician’s field of view into a heads-up diagnostic tool. Built during the Founders Inc Canopy cohort.

Problem

Field technicians spend a meaningful fraction of every job stack swapping between their hands, a tablet, equipment labels, and the manufacturer schematic. Information surface area is high; hands are full; lighting is bad; sites are loud.

Build

  • Vision pipeline — equipment recognition from the headset camera, OCR for plate readings (model/serial/spec)
  • Schematic recall — auto-pull the right wiring diagram, refrigerant chart, or service bulletin for what you’re looking at
  • Guided flows — step-by-step repair overlays anchored to the equipment, with voice navigation so hands stay on the tools
  • Offline-first — sites have unreliable signal; we cache by equipment family and sync diagnostics later

Status

Active build. Iterating with field technicians on the form factor, latency budget, and the right defaults for overlay density.
